We capped of an already amazing year by taking home the trophy for "Live Artist of the Year" last night at the Boston Music Awards. We were up against a few giants of Boston rock in the form of Aerosmith, Bad Rabbits, Dropkick Murphys, and Peter Wolf. Needless to say, we were thrilled and delighted to hear our name emerge out of that crop! Thanks so much to everyone who voted, and for all the support and encouragment we recieved in the fantastic year of 2013. Here's a recap of the events by Jed Gottlieb of the Boston Herald.
It's true! We are up for "Live Artist of the Year" against none other than Aerosmith, Dropkick Murphys, Bad Rabbits and Peter Wolf. That's some pretty heavy company, so please take a moment to vote for us! It appears that you can vote however many times you'd like, so go crazy! The BMAs happen at the Liberty Hotel in Boston on Sunday, December 8, and we will also be playing live at 8:00pm on the Esplanade stage.
We're very excited to be playing Day 3 of The Outlaw Roadshow on Saturday, October, 19 at The Bowery Electric in New York City. We open the festivities at noon. The event is the brainchild of Ryan Spaulding of Ryan's Smashing Life, and Adam Duritz of Counting Crows. All kinds of amazing bands! Three days long! And FREE! Adam Duritz himself tells all about it in the video to the right!
It's true! Eddie Japan won the 2013 Rock 'n' Roll Rumble! We are completely elated, and we are so thankful for the support we received along the way. We are now part of Boston music history, and we are so pround of our city and of the Boston music community. We Are Boston, indeed. Thank you!!!
